Stop at Baan Silapin. Baan Silapin, known in English as The Artist’s House, is a charming art gallery showcasing local artists and a cultural center located along the Khlong Bang Luang canal in Bangkok.

This picturesque and historic site offers a peaceful escape from the city’s hustle and bustle and provides an immersion into Thai art, culture, and history.

Centuries of history underpin the delicate movements and graceful arm work of traditional Thai dance. Discover this dance during an intimate introductory class with an experienced and qualified teacher at one of Bangkok’s original dance schools. Put on an authentic costume, including traditional nail extensions, learn the basic positions, and then try three dance styles to three different songs. Includes a snack, an herbal drink, and transfers from your accommodation.

Later, visit Wat Arun, the “Temple of Dawn” located on the right bank of the river. Dedicated to Aruna, the temple of dawn is perhaps the most famous pagoda in Bangkok. The prang, 82 meters high, is surrounded by a sculpted frieze of Khmer influence. It was built by Rama II and Rama III during the first half of the 19th century.

In the early afternoon, enjoy a traditional Thai massage. Unlike Western massages, Thai massage focuses on pressure points. The massage often starts with the feet and gently works its way up to the head. To relax the body, traditional Thai massage aims to release blocked energy lines. Some areas are pressed with the thumbs to promote energy circulation. Muscles are stretched to reduce stress and muscle tension.

In the evening, enjoy some free time at the Asiatique night market by the river. The Asiatique night market is a bustling place filled with colorful lights, sounds, and enticing smells. Generally open from late afternoon until late at night, it attracts local and tourist crowds who come to relax, shop, and savor delicious food.

Visit the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Keo. Wat Phra Keo undoubtedly offers one of the most astonishing spectacles in the world. It is a dazzling ensemble of golden spires, pavilions with multicolored tiled roofs, and statues that are both frightening and charming. Wat Phra Keo was built in 1782 by the first King of the current dynasty, Rama I, to house the famous Phra Kéo (Emerald Buddha).

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha houses the most sacred Buddha statue in the entire country. No one knows the origin of this 75 cm high and 45 cm wide statue, which appeared in the 15th century in the north of the country in Chiang Rai and was brought to Bangkok in the 18th century.

The Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, located within the Grand Palace complex in Bangkok, is an institution dedicated to the preservation, exhibition, and study of Thai textiles.
